Lorie Goetz – Cumberland, MD

When I was just a kid around 7 0r 8 years old I had a paranormal experience. I was wide awake and I know I was because, I checked to make sure. Anyway what happened happened so suddenly, I had no time to react. It was a still summer night with no wind blowing. All of a sudden this wind came out of no where and blew my curtains straight up in the air. Then this blinding bright light came out of nowhere. I thought maybe it was a street light or a car light but no. To top it all off a voice came along with these experiences. It said “Lorie”, “Lorie”. I was just young so I high tailed it out of the room in a hurry! I would not go back to my bed until my dad convinced me that there was nothing in my room. If I just would have been older, I would have asked it who it was and what it wanted. Interestingly it was a female voice. What an experience!

When I was again about 7or 8 years old my brother and I where sitting by the window talking. It was dark outside. We just happened to be looking out the window at the same time when we saw a white glowing figure walk out of the middle of the school yard and walk up to the fence surrounding the school yard. I thought at first maybe it is just a person wearing really white clothes. I Thought maybe a street light makes his clothes appear whiter. However, this did not explain why his face glowed white. Maybe he had white hair but still does not explain the white face. I ask my brother do you see what I am seeing? he replied, the funny glowing man? I said hey Aaron why don’t you say something to it! Aaron said no way! You say something to it. I said alright, hey! hey! are you a ghost?! That figure looked up and around like it was trying to figure out where our voices were coming from! We ducked so fast below the window! It was sooo funny! I looked at my brother and said, do you think it can come in here?! He said I hope not! I think if that ghost showed up in the room we would have died from fright! lol
